St. Barbara

Continuandu-mi seria posturilor complet inutile (lolcats, ciocanitori si muzica folk), azi vreau sa spun doua cuvinte despre Sfanta Barbara.

“Beautiful maiden imprisoned in a high tower by her father Dioscorus for disobedience. While there, she was tutored by philosphers, orators and poets. From them she learned to think, and decided that polytheism was nonsense. With the help of Origen and Valentinian, she converted to Christianity.”

De pe wikipedia aflam ca St. Barbara avea grija de: “Artillery gunners, masons, mathematicians, miners, military engineers, stonecutters, against lightning, anyone who works at risk of sudden and violent death”.

In romana o cheama Sf. Varvara.

I am a (unemployed) freelance journalist / rockstar, living in Bucharest, with a supernatural entity called kitty. I write things, and when I don't I usually sit in a cafe and recall my part in the Crimean war. I kick ass in the morning and take names in the evening, and sometimes chew bubblegum, but I'm all out of gum now. I am also an international online hockey player, famous argentinian polo champion, and football manager hall of famer. I can fly.

(“Artillery gunners, masons, mathematicians, miners, military engineers, stonecutters, against lightning, anyone who works at risk of sudden and violent death”…yep, multitasking…de fapt si multiuser.) Someone has to do it, right?
There’s a story in there…
